I further went on to research on the chosen topic to gain a deeper understanding and gather ideas for our play. My research findings were quite insightful and they helped me shape the direction of our performance. I decided that I wanted my play to explore the themes of love, betrayal, and redemption. Key characters that came to mind were a betrayed lover, a remorseful betrayer, and a wise old man.
Paragraph 2 In today's lesson, we wrote down 5 key themes based on our research. The five words were love, betrayal, redemption, remorse, and wisdom because these were the recurring themes in our research and they resonated with the story we wanted to tell. We then created 5 frozen images which showed different stages of our story - the blissful love, the shocking betrayal, the painful remorse, the hard-earned redemption, and the wisdom gained through the journey. We added thoughts aloud into each frozen image to communicate the emotions and thoughts of the characters. We wanted the audience to feel the emotional journey of the characters and reflect on the themes we are exploring.
