Solution 1

Nonmetals are located on the right side of the periodic table. The periodic table is divided into metals, metalloids, and nonmetals. The zigzag line that starts at Boron (element 5), and goes down all the way to Polonium (element 84), separates metals from nonmetals. The elements to the right of this line are nonmetals, excluding Hydrogen which is also a nonmetal but is located on the left side of the table with the metals.
