   • Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus: This type occurs when the body becomes resistant to insulin or when the pancreas doesn't produce enough insulin. This also leads to high blood sugar levels.

2. Diabetes Insipidus: This is a rare condition that involves an imbalance of fluids in the body. It's not related to high blood sugar levels but to a hormone called vasopressin (also known as antidiuretic hormone), which regulates the kidneys' fluid levels. In Diabetes Insipidus, the body either doesn't produce enough vasopressin or doesn't respond to it properly, leading to excessive urination and extreme thirst.

In summary, while both conditions are called "diabetes," they are different in terms of their causes, symptoms, and treatments. Diabetes Mellitus is related to insulin and blood sugar levels, while Diabetes Insipidus is related to vasopressin and fluid balance in the body.
