Answering this question in my opinion one of the advantages of using technology in the classroom is also a disadvantage at the same time .. “ being universal” . Technology is our new world (majority of us) , but then there are some that it’s foreign to and that’s okay but just means it shouldn’t be used to depend on. Although it can be entertaining & helpful at times ; socializing comes with so many more benefits in a classroom . The cost of the equipment may not be a problem for the school ; but it may not be worth it because of the distractions it can come with .. on the other hand it offers a completely different learning approach and allows mobile learning to take over which could mean in & out of the classroom , with less paperwork . Disadvantage for me was alarming as I discovered a lot of children lack writing skills (dysgraphia) they can sing the alphabet but can not write them.
