Solution

The Indian ethos recommends managing stress through one's diet by following a balanced Sattvic diet. The Sattvic diet is a regimen that places emphasis on seasonal foods, fruits, dairy products, nuts, seeds, oils, ripe vegetables, legumes, whole grains, and non-meat based proteins. This diet is known to nourish the body and maintain a peaceful state which aids in stress management. It avoids foods that are excessively spicy or heavy, such as meat, and does not recommend excessive consumption of any food, including spicy food. Intermittent fasting can be a part of a Sattvic lifestyle but is not a requirement. The focus is on consuming fresh, wholesome foods that contribute to the clarity of mind and physical health.

Re: Week 7 - Discussion Forum by Kaho Yamamoto - Sunday, 26 May 2024, 7:08 PM Hello everyone, 1. No one in this world is stress-free. People experience all kinds of stress, big and small. In my case, I got sick, had skin problems, and gained 12 kg due to binge eating and drinking. Stress harms both the body and the mind. That's why it is essential to know how to manage everyday stress. 2. My stress management techniques are managing tasks, not skipping meals, and exercising regularly. These may seem obvious, but they are vital for me, especially after I became physically ill. First, I manage tasks well. Thinking about my tasks takes a lot of work. So, I use Notion to organize them. I clarify what I must do daily and take breaks after finishing tasks, reducing my stress. Second, I value proper food intake. There was a time when I was so busy that I skipped meals, thinking I had no time. I would get hungry quickly, become irritable, struggle to concentrate, and often get sick. Realizing this could have been better, I ate three solid meals regularly. This improved my focus and reduced my irritability. Third, I exercise at least once a day. If I don't get outside and move, I feel very depressed. So, I walk or run while listening to music to refresh myself. This clears my mind and helps me concentrate on my studies afterward. Task management, a proper diet, and regular exercise are the three things I value to reduce stress. I hope you have a beautiful day!! -Kaho Yamamoto
