Carbimazole:

Thyroxine:

• Use/Mode of Action: Thyroxine is used to treat hypothyroidism. It replaces or provides more thyroid hormone, which is normally produced by the thyroid gland.
• Adverse/Side Effects: Some side effects (excluding nausea and headache) include increased heart rate, tremors, anxiety, and difficulty sleeping.

• Use/Mode of Action: Vasopressin is used to prevent and treat certain types of diabetes insipidus. It helps to balance the amount of water and salt in the body.

• Nursing Considerations: Monitor patient's fluid balance and electrolyte levels. Watch for signs of water intoxication such as confusion, seizures, and difficulty urinating.
