What is Principle 4 of the Data Protection Act 2018?

Principle 4 of the Data Protection Act 2018 states that personal data processed must be accurate and, where necessary, kept up to date. This means that every reasonable step must be taken to ensure that personal data that are inaccurate, having regard to the purposes for which they are processed, are erased or rectified without delay. This principle is also known as the "Accuracy" principle.
