You’re in a class that has a lot of information you need to remember. The instructor has provided PowerPoint slides for students and reminds the class that they don’t need to write things down because all the information is in the slides. How do you react? What a relief! I’m so glad I don’t need to worry about writing all this information down. I’d take notes anyway—I feel like I learn better when I’m writing the information down.

If my instructor uses PowerPoint slides, it’s best to focus on listening to the lecture in class rather than taking notes. Multitasking while studying can make studying more pleasant and effective. It’s better to type notes rather than handwrite them because I can store my notes in the cloud.
