TCC is the best school for any student preparing for a 4 year college. It has a lot of opportunities, a good studying environment and the best instructors.
Overall 4.9
It's a great college , great staff if you need help with anything just ask.

TCC is the best state institution in the area. Trust! It beats the local unis by far in everything. From the staff support (thank you for all you do!) to structure, to academia. There are so many classes and professors to choose from and you dont have to jump through hoops. I wish they were a university

TCC has a lot to offer. They are really good at helping students especially if you are struggling with academics, or even financial. The campus is really nice. It is in downtown so there are a lot of restaurants and places to go after school to review. Professors are really nice and acommodating.

Tidewater community college in Norfolk is a great school

They are not organized and do everything last minute, or not at all. They do not have their "stuff" together. It has been the longest and most painful headache getting to graduate with this school. I am so glad I am done with them.
Overall 1.3
Proffessors are good here, but the administration is a joke. They are just trying to make money and won't accept my credits from a University! Be careful when you talk to an advisor the one I talked to did not know what Political Science was. You are on your own here so don't let them corner you in taking classes you don't need.
Overall 1.4
Military Veterans: BEWARE! Tidewater Community College is a great place to get a degree. Unfortunately, it is a terrible place to get an actual education. In TCC will promise you a quick degree. It is a business whose customer engagement stops as soon as your tuition is paid. GI Bill recipient's are an easy target for this college scam.

Parking is limited and expensive! Options are limited! Lunch options suck!
Overall 1.5
to get any help at all just to even get maybe the simplest thing such as a student ID you have to wait usually an hour and a half minimum. I waited nearly 3 hours for advice referring my major and when i finally got to speak to someone he seemed dumb-founded a handed me a book. I officially have 3 of those books because that is all they do.
Overall 1.6
Advisors do not know what is needed of students for their own programs. Records sent to them will be lost. They can not send records out without mistakes. All personal information will be entered incorrectly. No one you talk to will be willing to fix their mistakes. Prepare to be hung up on when contacting them.
Overall 1.6
Do NOT take the Pharmacy Technician course offered at TCC-Norfolk. It is a complete WASTE of time and money. After completing the course, no pharmacy will hire you without some kind experience even if you are a CPhT. This course is designed for someone who only has a state license and wants a national. You are better off buying the book! F+
Overall 1.8
The majority of professors are amazing, however the administration, advisers, and financial aid staff provide some of the worst support I’ve ever witnessed.
Overall 1.8
This place lacks civility. The library is loud all the time, and they will talk on their cell phones all the time in there. It's in the middle of Downtown. Many people do not take education as a priority here, etc.
Overall 1.9
I have moved around a lot, so this my sixth college. By far the administration at this school is the worst. In my two semesters at TCC, they have messed up my financial aid and enrollment. In my major, almost all of the classes are only offered at night. TCC didn't accept most of my credits from other schools. Avoid TCC if you can!
