Syracuse is a great place to go if your looking to be part of a tight community. This school has fantastic teachers, resources and opportunities. although you will be tired of the dining halls, you will still have a fab time!

I'm in Maxwell and would never have expected to get access to professors as amazing as ours during undergrad! Also check out our athletic teams and join, amazing culture among the athletes - lovely among all students, but my experience with athletes is beyond what I hoped for when I chose Cuse. International and disability services are great.

I am not sure about other major, but the school of architecture is terrible. In my opinion, it was full of racism. A lot of professors and faculties are like very egoists and ignore international students. They have a tiny building and all undergraduate and graduate squeezed in there.

As a parent of a Syracuse freshman, it is incredibly frustrating that our daughter cannot enroll in a single Psych class because they are all full! And the psych dept is absolutely no help at all! I have 2 other kids at 2 other schools who have never had this problem. Likely to transfer due to minimal choices at end of year. Pitiful for $$!!!

First semester classes are basically assigned by advisors, so have minimal choice. Now registering for second semester and it is MISERABLE finding proper advisor help and even WORSE trying to register for classes as most are already completely FULL. Using the RateMyProf app, struggling to find a prof that appears to care :( Not happy with SU

Youre just a number to them. They dont care that your a person behind the GPA and class credits.

Although some people are nice, there are a bunch of people who are disrespectful and very privileged. Housing sucks, people are racist, the food sucks, and the weather is the worst. The snow keeps people inside, the sun is never out, it is always windy, and it is cold (like -10 F cold). Only come here if you want seasonal depression.
Overall 1.5
get your education and get out of this racist town and school. Only diversity is on the flyers.

For the price of tuition do not go here. Everyone is clicky rich east coast and Chicago and Cali! THATS IT! Athletic dept is horrid but the consolers here are too I had 9 in my 4 years at Cuse.
Bar scene and night life is mid (3 bars on campus total)
NY is super expensive/gross
Frats or athletics is a guy's best bet here (FB team was mid to be on)

The advising faculty is complete garbage; the requirements for your degree can change year to year, further roping you into this bottomless pit of a university, financially and mentally.
