If you are interested in studying Conservation, Biology, Ecology, Agriculture, or Animal Sciences Sul Ross is a phenomenal place for you. The high elevation means great weather even in the dead of the summer, not to mention the view. The borderlands research institute is great for getting Conservation experience too!
Overall 4.2
Sul Ross is a great school. The area is beautiful and full of life and the teachers and people are great here. The only issue is with the housing and financial aid administration are all over the place when it comes to telling students what needs to happen. Other than that the campus if beautiful and they have great amenities for a small school
Overall 4
Sul Ross State University is small in size, but large in opportunities. I went to Sul Ross to become a better teacher. It was what I needed. I would not have had the quality education any where else. Very Innovative with weekend classes and excellent Summer Sessions. A teachers university, with am excellent Biology Program.

Great place. The view will take your breath away every morning. It's a small campus with a small town feel everyone knows everybody. You are not lost in the in the masses and your voice is always heard. The professors my seem a bit dated but they want to help you as much as they can it is like a high school feeling but with all the freedom.
Bad reviews
Overall 1.6
The school is small and located in the middle of nowhere. However the area is very pretty, I will give it that. If you are looking to get away from your big city or just love small places then it'll be a great place. There are some really good teachers and some bad ones, so be careful who you pick.

Not a great place to attend college, super cheap but theres a reason for that.

Don't come to this school, if you're from a bigger city I guarantee you will hate it. This school is a community college marketed as a uni.
Overall 1.8
It's a small, uncrowded school in the middle of nowhere, which means you sacrifice some opportunities if you're studying something cutting edge but for education or agriculture degrees it would probably be more rewarding than the science/fine arts background I sought. My peers with equivalent degrees from other colleges outshine me.
