Overall 5
I love SIUE! The campus opened up so many opportunities to me as a biology major. I was able to utilize the grounds for several of my classes.

Overall 4.6
I am beyond thankful for this campus!
Overall 4.6
I love it here! SIUE is a great school to go to and it is everything I wanted in a school.
Overall 4.5
I personally love SIUe. I have made life long friendships and have thouroughly enjoyed my past two years here. I am in a sorority so social life is easier for myself than someone who is not involved on campus. I have had mostly great teachers with a few that I could not stand but I feel like with any college or school that will happen.
Overall 4.5
Southern Illinois University Edwardsville is constantly growing and progressing. I love it here. My professors are all understanding and genuinely care about their students. I cannot talk more highly of the Biochemistry department and the research opportunities they have given me. I love downtown eville, and its just 20 minutes from STL.
Bad reviews
Overall 1
This school has horrible professors, advisors that can’t answer questions, racism scandals that never get resolved, and an ugly campus. Really can’t get much worse than this school. Only good thing is free textbooks.
Overall 1
I have never felt so out of place
but this school made me feel so out of place and the improvement starting with the staff really needs a whole lot of improvement on all levels starting with their professionalism. They really don't have any concerns about the students. Don't get me wrong it's not all of the staff but the academic department yes.
Overall 1.1
This place is the most dull campus I have ever attended in my life.
Overall 1.5
The school itself is very isolated. This is great safety wise, but awful if you do not have a vehicle or a way out. There is almost nothing to do on campus besides study. Most people go home or leave campus on the weekends. I felt trapped and homesick. Edwardsville itself is no college town either. There are limited food options, none are healthy.
Overall 1.5
Terrible, teachers do not teach, you have to teach yourself 100%. Why am I paying 12K+ per year to teach myself?
Overall 1.6
If I had the opportunity to do college all over again, I would go somewhere else.
Overall 1.8
Professors are about 60% good and 40% bad. VERY little activities for students, which does not create a social community for students. Campus is in the woods. Parking is awful. Food is overpriced, severely. Little opportunities for growth outside of class. Advisors are hard to access and do not care. Financial aid office was helpful though.
Overall 1.9
I was assigned to a counselor that had left the school last year so I could not make advisor appointments. They also signed me up for classes I already had credit for. I felt that the quality of the lectures and education overall was so below what a university should be. My community college and HS classes were much higher quality. I got no help.
Overall 2
NO college experience here at all. Semi-decent teaching staff with a few gems scattered throughout. Otherwise, very unprofessional to work with and flat-out disrespectful to administration staff. The board's mysterious expenditures maintain the college's boring lifestyle, and the pure ignorance of staff and faculty is causing strikes.
Overall 2
Terrible school, professors do not care about their students, the want you to fail, so you have to pay to take classes multiple times. Don't come here.
