SVA makes me feel welcomed and challenges me to create the best work I can within the four years I have there. Without them, the amazing professors, fantastic and motivating friends and amazing location right in the heart of NYC, my artwork would lack inspiration and not be the same without SVA.

As a cartooning major, i have been enjoying it so far. the lesson registeration process is very stresful though!

Idk why people talk bad about this school, it's great for opportunity in an excellent location has awesome facilities and staff and is an excellent choice for study of visual arts in college. It has its downsides like every school, but the main things you will hear people complaining about are not relevant to your daily life here. Its great, trust.

I was super excited to go to SVA as an incoming freshman, however I soon learned that SVA is not what it appears. It is extremely expensive and all of my classes were mediocre and felt like arts and crafts classes. I am very disappointed with my experience at SVA. The facilities and the entire school is just a rip off.

Getting anything done at this school is near impossible. Constant misdirection, students so proud of themselves you'd think they were gods, and teachers who constantly reference their use of hallucinogens are to be expected.

The level has gone way down. As expensive as the school is, the facilities are generally not as good as they should be. I guess the administrators have t

Don't expect any expertise in 3D character animation. I knew that and went strictly for Visa and location. You will get both, but may have to endure egomaniacs. I'd recommend somewhere else. Most students are internationals and are there for Visa as well.
