Best school in the world
Overall 4.5
I've really enjoyed my time at SLC, especially for the academics. I can't imagine having gotten a degree anywhere else. The courses are SLC are so unique and I loved being able to design my own schedules and degree. Socially, SLC is full of very *particular individuals*, so if you're looking for "normal" people, this isn't the place.

I am honored to be here. I wouldn't have survived at any other school. The professors are the greatest people in the world, and the students are bright, snarky, and cool. We may not be the best at parties, but i'm not paying college tuition to get sloshed in a dorm room. I love this school.

The campus is super beautiful and super safe. There's tons of stuff and a lot of opportunities here but you gotta seek them out. Living right next to New York City is awesome! Bates and pub food is kinda hit-or-miss, and so is the wifi, but I absolutely love being here.

If you want a school that allows you to chase literally ANY academic curiosity and dream you have- or want to improve your writing- you can literally find no better. i could not have been half as happy as I am with my choice. I LOVE THIS SCHOOL MORE EVERYDAY!
Overall 4.3
Illustrious college renown for its intimate pedagogy and brilliant, intellectually intrepid faculty and student body. Opportunities for research and creative work are second to none. Lovely campus w/in walking distance of posh and blue collar NYC suburbs (arguably more flavorful than post-Giuliani Manhattan); 15 minutes by train to the city.
Overall 4.2
The most unique and life altering educational experience Ive ever had. My social circle is still, thirteen years later, largely comprised of SLC graduates. My wife is an SLC graduate. I wish I could go back and take classes there. The most cherished time of my life.
Overall 4.1
Sarah Lawrence is easy to be hated on because of the wide variety of students who disagree and are from all different walks of life.
However, Sarah Lawrence is a fabulous school who produces and has produced many astounding alumni and celebrities. The teachers are highly educated and the location is fantastic. One con, though, is the food.
Overall 4.1
The quintessentially liberal, artsy liberal arts college. A haven for budding intellectuals and artists. Unparalleled pedagogy. Faculty is personally and academically supportive. Social anxiety is common among students, but the friends you make at SLC will appreciate you deeply and on your terms. Going to SLC was the best decision I ever made.
Overall 4.1
Deserves its reputation for nurturing students while holding them to a high standard.

The food is awful . Students do conference work with little to no professor guidance or actual teaching . Campus is located in a small neighborhood but go outside the campus area and there is high crime . out of pocket is high Housing is subpar. . You will not get all credits transferred re : dual credit courses Waste of money Safety poor
Overall 1.8
Great classes, horrible people, culture, and food. I left this place because I was miserable and treated like dirt. If you aren't the right kind of weird, you're screwed. Only one viewpoint allowed here. Some profs are great some are creeps. Too many student-prof marriages happen here. Everyone thinks its cool to be miserable

Let's be honest: SLC is a school for people who want to avoid math and science. As a result, most will have a very challenging time getting a job after graduation. It's great if you want to hone your artistic skills, but don't delude yourself into thinking that an SLC education will make you more employable in any field outside of academia.

Pros: Good library, smart caring profs
Cons: Underfunded campus, apathetic overpaid admin, soft on SA & scary # 4 being 30% male, doesn't help get a job, wouldn't feed my pet the food, takes away many scholarships so the non-sheltered leave 1st yr, lack of focus on software learning, Disability serv = 1 lady 4 1.7k ppl un-passionate 4 the work.
Overall 2
Lots of prep-school kids and transfers who couldn't handle the workload in more rigorous liberal arts programs. You hear a lot of 3-dollar terms thrown around, but if you listen closely, they are used improperly, as if learned by route in test-prep courses. Expensive package (highest tuition in nation) for little product. Terrible food.
Overall 2
Lacks community and is socially isolating. Classes are good.
