Great school! I transferred to a prestigious school on a full ride scholarship. I was involved on campus through honors programs and club activities. It's a wonderful place to be, and the professors genuinely care and want to see you succeed.

Bad reviews

PLEASE, NEVER send your child here for dual enrollment. It is a terrible dual enrollment school. It's as if no one is in charge of the program. It's a shame honestly.
Overall 1.5
Enrollment continues to decrease at MC but has gone up 7% at Howard University, which is a more expensive school. Minority students are after high-quality education and not low-quality schooling via OER. For the price is not the issue, it's substance and quality! Professional interaction with faculty is also greater with classical instruction.
Overall 1.5
Effective education has always been about quality. Introducing low quality systems such as Z courses OER are sadly ineffective. It's time to reboot. Students who look for the best can and do recognize the wheat from the chaff. This is why MC enrollment is in a free-fall, and why nobody dares to call MC the Harvard on the Pike anymore.
Overall 1.5
The enforcement of the Z courses appears to be based on an internal full-fledged quid quo pro scheme focused on quantity and not the quality of education. My question is: is this really what's best for students, or is this just a convenient self-serving solution for administrators who would nag or bribe or even coerce the faculty to get their way?
Overall 1.5
For years most of the administrators were aware of the so-called UN SDG Open Pedagogy Faculty Fellowship's flaws, but nothing was done to prevent the current faux pas. Was it arrogance or ignorance? Some have even tried to cover it up. Yet, this shameful project is still advertised on the MC website. Is it carelessness or something else?
Overall 1.6
Mc neglected to supervise its faculties' projects. The United Nations SDG Open Pedagogy Faculty Fellowship implies affiliation with the UN. No License ever been issued to Mc by the UN for this activity. It qualifies for intellectual property infringement. If MC faculty want students to apply integrity to their work, they should lead by example!
Overall 1.6
It's time for the internal soul-searching of the so-called United Nations SDG Open Pedagogy Faculty Fellowship at MC to examine the benefit-cost ration, besides personal PR and entertainment for a few at the expense of many, including students! Why were fundamentals excluded from this educational scheme? Perfect example of amplified incompetency.
Overall 1.7
OER is a bad fit for community colleges in the US, and especially the notorious Z courses. MC's resulting lower enrollment stems not from demographics, but from MC's diminishing reputation. OER seems easy to adopt, but it's a complicated non-pedagogical tool that does not prepare students to succeed after transferring to a 4-year college.
Overall 1.8
There is no direction of who to talk to when students have concerns of their grades or professors and students' concerns are not properly addressed when expressed dissatisfaction with a course, internships, issues with professors, or feedback of their assignments. The professors are poor communicators when responding to student's emails.
Overall 1.9
Organizing joint classes to lobby for OER is unethical and unfair for students. Faceless black screens and the vast majority of students are not paying any attention besides having no clue what this masquerade is all about. This school should be tuition-free.
