Blue river is awesome!

Love mcc blue river
Overall 4.6
People and atmosphere is friendly, it's a smaller campus than most, but if you join clubs and get involved, you can be on a first name basis with much of the faculty and staff(including Deans and the president of the college)
Overall 4.3
I was excited to see the classes I needed at the Independence campus. I didn't want to drive down town to Penn Valley.
Overall 4.2
It's a great school, but just like every school there's always room for improvement. While the internet connection is good, at times it does lag a little bit. I get that's it's a community college and there not that big of a campus, but it would be cool to hear live musicians while walking to and from classes. I do recommend Blue River!

Wonderful campus!

This school is one of the best MCC's offered between Longview, Penn Valley and Blue River. Blue River is the best. Very awesome professors, library, and peers. The only thing that is horrible here is the advising, where they have people who aren't professionals dealing with students financial aid and things.
Overall 4.1
Campus is a little out of the way, but the atmosphere and instructors more then make up for that. I am a non-traditional student and if I could I would stay a Blue River. The buildings are fairly new and well maintained. Once on campus everything is accessible.
Overall 4
The staff is all very friendly and genuinely want to help students. I am glad I chose MCC Blueriver, I believe it is the nicest MCC campus but I may be biased.

I may have to get out of this school quickly and go to a real school. I now see why it is rated so low in the nation. I am here to learn and progress in life. Why so much work, unnecessary. It is especially difficult when the some of the students seem to know more than the teachers, and still the teachers grade poorly.
Overall 0.9
I chose to go to this school because of people going years ago did not have bad experiences. It has really changed. It seems to be the norm to not pass you and have to take the class over again. Seems some of the teachers are making it unbelievably hard. I would not suggest this school. A good college might be cheaper in the long run.
Overall 0.9
Someone should monitor the noise in the placement test room. People were yelling. It was difficult to concentrate. It is a difficult school, some of the teachers give such a large work load even they could not accomplish it. Even if you got A's in high school you may get D's or even fail. Go to a real school if you can.

I have had some great teachers and some people that should not call themselves teachers. One teacher wasn't even teaching their subject and grading us students on what they did not have any knowledge of, do the directors care? It should be easier to report these teachers without them knowing, so we don't have to lose study time.
Overall 0.9
It has not been the best experience. They allow students to throw things around the parking lot. Many students don't care. Some of the teachers pile on the work as if no one has to work at a job. Some of the teachers seem to only care about their knowledge and do not know how to pass on knowledge effectively.

Some of the teachers at Metropolitan Community College at Blue River Campus remind me of the show "Community", especially the character "Chang".
Overall 1
MCC spends money telling everyone what a good school they are instead of spending the money on education. Some of the teachers at this campus are terrible. Many of the students act like they are at home, no concentration.
Overall 1
Some of the teachers do not teach, nor do they seem to know how to teach. The entire school has gone down hill. Just because some of the students are their to sluff off doesn't mean everyone is. The teachers should not judge all the students by the bad students.
Overall 1
I like the location of the campus but do not appreciate the guys that hang around outside near our cars. I don't know if they are even students. It can be dark at night. I guess they don't want girls to attend if they don't provide a safe environment. Some of the teachers should not be teachers, some should get an award.

Its just not an overall good place to be
