Re: Discussion Assignment by Tabor Wynter - Monday, 27 May 2024, 7:53 AM I once worked for a company in the early 90’s known for producing healthy juices. The tagline for the company was “producing healthy juices for the family”. With the evolution of time and the changes in the market, the company started to lose profit. The market began to change in a different direction. The consumer base remains the same, However, their opinions and mindsets began to change. This change was due to time and information being made readily available through social media and other outlets. With the change in the market, the consumers were now focused on the bottom line for their family which was health. They now questioned,” What is considered to be healthy for this company?’ The production company now realized the change in the market, decided to do what any learning organization would do, and adapt to the change. They sat out to change the tagline of the company, rebranded their products with more transparency and they also sat out to provide more training to the staff on healthy lifestyle practices. With these new changes came resistance within the planning, organizing, and leadership aspects of the company. The company had to modify its vision and mission statement to include more dedication to organic and healthy production of its juice line. This in return had a domino effect on the company whereas the company training was modified to reflect the changes that were being made. The organizational structure shifted to include a marketing team that could showcase what health now meant to the company. With these new changes the company saw an increase in operational cost due to the changes but based on market trends they predict an increase in profit in the future with their new tagline” producing real juice with real taste”.

Coca-Cola was invented in 1886 by Atlanta pharmacist John S. Pemberton. The name for the product was actually proposed by Pemberton's assistant, Frank Robinson. The name was taken from the two most unusual ingredients in the drink, the South American coca leaf and the African cola nut.The recipe for today's Coca. Cola is very well guarded. Many of the ingredients are known; in addition to coca leaves and cola nut, they include lemon, orange, lime, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, caramel. and sugar. The proportions of the ingredients and the identity of Coke's secret ingredients are known by only a few of the Coca-Cola.
