Solution

The number of fish that can be kept in a tank is directly proportional to the amount of water in the tank.

In Keva's case, her tank can keep a maximum of 3 fish for 7.5 litres of water.

So, for 1 litre of water, the tank can keep = 3 fish / 7.5 litres = 0.4 fish/litre

Now, Preet's tank contains 30 litres of water.

So, the maximum number of fish Preet's tank can keep = 0.4 fish/litre * 30 litres = 12 fish

Therefore, Preet's tank can keep a maximum of 12 fish.
