Re: Week 3 - Discussion Forum by Khristopher Bell - Wednesday, 1 May 2024, 12:39 AM I am currently using two time management strategies outlined in the reading topics. Preparation for success: I have implemented a positive attitude where I always visualize the lesson objectives and see myself as well-prepared for the discussion forums and learning journals. It has positively influenced my energy gauge, and I have internal motivation to pull through the hard parts of the outlined readings. Use my Best Time of Day (BTD): I have put my energy and cognizant-stream tasks in the most productive hours of the day. I focus well and can critically analyze and solve problems in the shortest time possible. My BTD is usually in the mornings between when everyone leaves for school and work and my work "start" time. Preparation and Visualization work well for me because picturing success before my studies is most effective in increasing my motivation and productivity. This pushes me to clearly outline my goals and approach my assignments with a more focused attitude. Also, the utilization of "productivity peaks" helps me to tackle difficult assignments better and has increased the efficiency of my studies. Thus, I can focus my attention better, leading to effective outcomes in my discussion forum assignments and learning journals. Despite having a somewhat established routine, I sometimes get distracted from it. This has been a challenge, with the demands of other responsibilities like family, work, and leisure. I am currently working to refine my university schedule to work in tandem with the other aspects of my life. References: Minnesota Libraries Publishing. (2015). Re: Week 8 - Discussion Forum by Kyle Carson - Saturday, 1 June 2024, 8:27 PM Hello everyone, With our final exams coming up, it may get stressful and, for many of us also nerve-racking, two strategies I will use are studying past chapters and readings and to achieve this I will use the second strategy which will be time management, making an organized schedule to study past chapters and readings for next weeks exam will be crucial. Reading on my past discussion forms and learning journals could also be beneficial, to see how I would explain the topic for that chapter. I used to have test-taking anxiety when I was in high school, I never knew how to study properly for my exams and would just rely on a few things I could remember and luck, so when exam week would roll around, I would be scared to take them. However, now that I've studied more and know more about how to take exams and how to study for them properly, I am not as scared to take these upcoming ones. I intend to use the note-taking strategy to study for the exams as well, I found them very helpful and made me captivate more information when reading or watching a video. All the best.

Basing your mind set on the author’s view, write a short essay of 200 words explaining and emphasizing your effective time management skill in striking a balance between study and relaxation.

In the conclusion, summarize your reflections on procrastination and the "2-Minute Rule." Reiterate your opinion on its effectiveness and the potential benefits of implementing other time management systems. Encourage your peers to explore different techniques and share their experiences, emphasizing the importance of finding personalized approaches to managing time effectively in college and beyond.

Re: Week 3 - Discussion Forum by Tariq Murad - Tuesday, 30 April 2024, 8:38 PM Time management is important for productivity and well-being , my experience with time management was a bit hard due to the full time shift job but i tried to create a visual map of the approximate hours dedicated to work, university ,gym and family activities. Answering questions like: How much time did the task take? did the side talking extend works hours ? i used this insight to set goals and prioritize tasks. 1-prioritize:deciding where to allocate my time can be challenging. Prioritizing tasks based on its importance and the role on the job to get done. 2-Set Goals: I define clear objectives for my week and that helps me to allocate time effectively, Break down larger tasks into smaller. 3-Build Good Habits: Cultivate routines that support my goals. 4-perform a Time Audit Regularly : i check the areas where i can improve , Adjust the schedule if needed to improve and maintain balance and efficiency. 5-Create a Stop-Doing list: sometimes i need to eliminate non-essential tasks. 166 words
