Solution

When you add a filter to a pivot chart, the data in the original source pivot table does not automatically update. Here are the steps to update the data:

  1. After adding the filter to the pivot chart, go to the original source pivot table.
  2. Click anywhere in the pivot table to show the PivotTable Fields pane.
  3. In the PivotTable Fields pane, manually add the same filter that you added to the pivot chart.
  4. After adding the filter, go to the Analyze tab in the ribbon.
  5. In the Data group of the Analyze tab, click on 'Refresh All'. This will update the data in the pivot table to reflect the filter you added to the pivot chart.

Remember, changes made in the pivot chart are not immediately reflected in the pivot table. You need to manually update the pivot table as described above.
