It is like a big online forum where there are a lot of smaller communities inside of it; this is where toxic technocultures can be found. Toxic technocultures are groups of people who use technology to spread harmful ideas and harass other people. Yet, this website, Reddit, is not only found in toxic technocultures but also on other websites like 4chan, Twitter, and online gaming platforms. They are using these platforms to coordinate their actions and target people they disagree with. They also take advantage of these platform policies since they do not have enough to protect the victims of harassment. Reddit is just one of the many online platforms where toxic technocultures exist. The problem will arise if people use a website or use opinion or misinformation as a credible source to spread misinformation or engage in harmful behavior.Idealistic relationships are often portrayed in the media. They are seen as perfect and flawless as the partners are completely in love and they do not experience any major challenge or problem in their relationship. In this kind of culture of media, it becomes a toxic media content where the people who are seeing it are able to set an idealistic relationship which is unrealistic and it can lead to disappointment and disillusionment. Furthermore in this culture, the media also portray toxic relationships in a way that makes the people seem glamorous or exciting. In other words, they romanticize this toxic relationship when it comes to the real-situation of the relationship. It makes it difficult for those people to recognize the signs of a toxic relationship or the red flags in the relationship. There is nothing wrong with bringing toxic relationships into the media as it can be informational and bring awareness to the public. Yet, the problem where it arises is being used as drama for entertainment purposes. Technoference in relationships; it refers to how technology use can interfere with and it is negatively affecting the interactions of the romantic partners or those people in romantic relationships. For example, when someone is constantly distracted by their smartphone while spending time with their partner, it can create a negative dynamic in their relationship. There are major interfaces of technology in the development of intimacy in romantic relationships. Firstly, people may become emotionally attached to their electronic devices, such as cell phones which can take away from real-life intimacy. They tend to feel value and love when they receive messages from their phones. This attachment to their devices can lead to a preference for online interactions rather than face-to-face interactions. Second, people who multitask with technology while they are with their partners can lead to a phenomenon called being “alone together.” Meaning to say even though they are physically together but they are more focused on their separate technology devices than on each other.
