Solution

(a) To find the percentage of adults who exercise regularly, we need to add the number of adults who exercise regularly and smoke (4) to the number of adults who exercise regularly and do not smoke (28). This gives us a total of 32 adults who exercise regularly.

The total number of adults surveyed is 200.

So, the percentage of adults who exercise regularly is (32/200) * 100 = 16%.

(b) To find the percentage of adults who smoke, we need to add the number of adults who smoke and exercise regularly (4) to the number of adults who smoke and do not exercise regularly (50). This gives us a total of 54 adults who smoke.

The total number of adults surveyed is 200.

So, the percentage of adults who smoke is (54/200) * 100 = 27%.
