• Non-formal Education: This is an organized educational activity outside the established formal system. It is flexible and learner-centered, like vocational skills, adult literacy, and community development programs. It may or may not lead to certification.

Comparing and Contrasting Formal, Informal and Non-formal Education:

• Formal education is structured, systematic and it's the only mode that leads to a recognized degree or certificate. Informal and non-formal education are less structured, and they may not provide any certification.
