Rebecca is writing a research essay on the fastest-growing occupations with the best earning potential. Solution
Rebecca should use the strategy a.) Use the “advanced search” function in Google to refine the results of her internet search. This strategy will allow her to narrow down her search results and find more relevant and reliable sources. While print sources like academic journals and published books can be valuable, online resources can also provide up-to-date and comprehensive information. Public libraries can also have useful resources, and it's not necessary to limit oneself to only academic libraries. Lastly, focusing only on the first page of search engine results can limit the scope of sources, as relevant and valuable sources can also be found on subsequent pages.

My go to for an internet search is Google. I find that it has more relevant search results and suggestions than any other search engine. Once I find a result that interests me, I will immediately scrutinize the result to see if it provides sources and citations instead of it being a source that is based upon the opinion of the person that wrote it. Anything of a social media nature is not the type of sources that I find useful. I generally rely on .gov .edu sources as I feel they are far more credible and start there. I find that it helps me to weed out information that is not useful and I am far more successful in searching the internet with that method.
