I dodged one defender by slightly pushing the soccer ball to the left, I ran after the ball, my legs pushing off the grass as fast as I could. I dribbled the ball once more; this time it went much farther than I initially planned it to go. Seeing the opportunity, a second defender ran up to the ball, hoping to get it before me. I hurled my body towards the ball, with one last lunge, I got to the ball first and pushed the ball to the right. I was losing balance as I barreled down towards the third and final defender, I couldn’t slow myself down and I passed the ball to the left again so it would hopefully reach my teammate. After passing the ball, I couldn’t stop myself from crashing into my opponent in front of me and I took a huge blow as I ran right into him. My teammates cheered me on from the sidelines after seeing me dribble past two defenders. It was just another JV soccer game in fall term. After the game, my teammates patted me in the back, encouraging me and praising my efforts on the field. I felt a sense of community.
