People often see films as purely entertainment.When you think of 'good films', what is it that makes them good? The actors? The storyline? The laugh count? When studying film, we of course must consider entertainment value, but more importantly we look at the way the films are put together to create meaning. Films are stories. Films have the potential to reveal and reflect human emotions at any point in time. They have the ability to transport us to different times and places and some have the ability to challenge our thinking, revealing different aspects of what makes us human. What recent films do you think have influenced societies ideas or beliefs?
