Solution

The primary purpose of indentation in Python is to define the block of code. Python uses indentation to indicate the beginning and end of code blocks, unlike other programming languages which use braces. Each line of code within the same block must be indented the same amount. The standard is to use 4 spaces for each level of indentation, but tabs or different numbers of spaces can also be used. This makes the code easier to read and understand. If the code is not properly indented, Python will raise an IndentationError.
