HTML (HyperText Markup Language):

• HTML is the standard markup language for creating web pages. It describes the structure of a web page and it consists of a series of elements.
• HTML elements are represented by tags. HTML tags label pieces of content such as "heading", "paragraph", "table", and so on.
• Browsers do not display the HTML tags, but use them to render the content of the page.
• HTML can embed programs written in a scripting language such as JavaScript, which affects the behavior and content of web pages.

CSS (Cascading Style Sheets):

• CSS is a style sheet language used for describing the look and formatting of a document written in HTML.
• CSS is designed to enable the separation of presentation and content, including layout, colors, and fonts.
• This separation can improve content accessibility, provide more flexibility and control in the specification of presentation characteristics, enable multiple web pages to share formatting by specifying the relevant CSS in a separate .css file, and reduce complexity and repetition in the structural content.
• CSS can also allow the same markup page to be presented in different styles for different rendering methods, such as on-screen, in print, by voice (via speech-based browser or screen reader), and on Braille-based tactile devices.
