Final WordsWith our time together coming to a close, I’ll finish with a brief personal message from our ARTSC106 team. We hope you’ve enjoyed this course. We have covered a good deal of material, and some of it has been challenging. We hope that through completing the readings, lessons, worksheets, and participating in the classes, and of course working through your research project, you are now much more aware of how climate change, at its core, is a human and social issue, and that, as such, we all have a role to play.It is a super-wicked problem, but if we can imagine a just and inclusive, low carbon climate future, and work together to create sustainable cultures, we can make a difference. As Solnit (2016) said, ‘now is not the time to despair, but to act.’The ARTSC106 team all teach in the Political Science and Public Policy programme. If we have sparked your interest in politics, international relations and public policy, please don’t hesitate to approach us with any questions about further study in this area.We wish you all the best with the rest of your undergraduate degree.
