Solution 1

In plant cells, a new cell wall forms and grows across the middle of the cell during cytokinesis. This process begins when a structure known as the cell plate starts to develop in the center of the cell. The cell plate, which is composed of vesicles from the Golgi apparatus, gradually expands outward until it reaches the cell membrane. As it does so, it deposits cell wall materials along its path. Eventually, the cell plate fuses with the cell membrane, dividing the cell into two separate cells each with its own cell wall.
