Injury to median nerve results to which condition?

Injury to the median nerve can result in a condition known as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. This condition is characterized by numbness, tingling, and weakness in the hand, particularly the thumb, index, and middle fingers. The median nerve provides sensation to these fingers and controls the muscles around the base of the thumb.
