When he finally gave himself to the word and prayer, the church increased in tremendous amount. Your pastor should not have to worry about Ministry and still worry about the church, when there are leaders. Church growth is powered by the Word and Prayer, not by strategy alone. WHAT IS CHURCH IN-REACH? Church in-reach, is growing the church from within, with a balance of spirituality and Excellence. Church growth is the increase god brings, based on the capacity of the ministry. The reason why you haven’t increased is because, gods waiting for you to grow up; in other words, success is what you attract by who you become. Note; when people come to the church, they don’t see the pastor first, they see you the leaders and first impression matter. AREA OF FOCUS SPIRITUALITY AND EXCELLENCE What is spirituality? Spirituality means, considering spiritual things first before any other thing. Spirituality is not in the activity, but in the consciousness of walking in the spirit. • When you are spiritual, your first response to things or situation, is GOD. • Train yourself to have an unconscious consciousness with GOD • Why many Christians suffer in their walk with God, is that they don’t have an intimacy with the holy spirit. THE CHURCH IS RUN BY TWO GOVERNMENT 1. The government system of the church is not democracy, rather its Theocracy (a government Of God, By God and For God. 2. The spirit of the commission (num 11:17,24-26) • There’s a spirit that powers every commission • If you want to be effective and not busy with activities, catch the spirit of the pastor • There are things that God has given to your pastor, you must crave for it. • The transference of spirit doesn’t happen with the person with the sprint, but it’s drawn by the who desires it. HOW TO DRAW FROM YOUR PASTOR 1. Love god 2. Love your pastor 3. Understand his assignment 4. Plug in your purpose • As a leader, your pastor should be more than a pastor to you, he should be your mentor EXCELLENCE Why is excellence difficult for some churches and individuals? 1. Because of how people grew up • Many grew up in places that celebrate mediocrity. The enemy of success is mediocrity; that as-long-as it is working mentality, no grip for change • Your dressing speaks more before you talk; step up on your appearance • Have a mentality that every service day, is like a Sunday service • Don’t practice excellence at church and practice mediocrity at home • We must raise our bars, when it
