Solution

The question is a logical reasoning problem. Here's how to solve it:

Step 1: Identify the cubicles that are vacant and those occupied by females. From the problem, we know that cubicles that are multiples of 9 are vacant and those that are multiples of 5 are occupied by females. So, cubicles 9 and 18 are vacant. Cubicles 5, 10, 15, and 20 are occupied by females.

Step 2: Identify the employees who sit at the end of the row. From the problem, we know that one of Dhruv and Champak from Admin and one of Ankita and Hiten from Accounts sit at the end of the row. Since cubicle 20 is occupied by a female, Dhruv or Champak must be in cubicle 1. Similarly, since cubicle 1 is occupied by a male, Ankita or Hiten must be in cubicle 20.

Step 3: Identify the employees who have a gap of two cubicles between them. From the problem, we know that Maya and Farhan's cubicles have two cubicles between them which are occupied. Since cubicles 9 and 18 are vacant, Maya and Farhan must be in cubicles 6 and 9 or 11 and 14 or 12 and 15.

Step 4: Identify the employees who are neighbors. From the problem, we know that Ketan and Emily are neighbors of Ishan. Since Emily is a female, she must be in cubicle 5, 10, 15, or 20. Since cubicle 20 is occupied by Ankita or Hiten, Emily must be in cubicle 5, 10, or 15. Since Emily is in Sales and there is only one female in Sales, Janki who is in cubicle 10 must be in a different department. So, Emily must be in cubicle 5 or 15. If Emily is in cubicle 5, then Ishan must be in cubicle 4 or 6. But cubicle 6 is occupied by Maya or Farhan. So, Emily must be in cubicle 15 and Ishan must be in cubicle 14 or 16.

Step 5: Identify the employees who are in the same department. From the problem, we know that there are 4 members in HR and Neha from IT sits at a gap of two cubicles from Emily. Since Emily is in cubicle 15, Neha must be in cubicle 13 or 17. But cubicle 13 is occupied by Ishan. So, Neha must be in cubicle 17.

Step 6: Identify the sum of cubicle numbers of employees of IT department and HR department. From the problem, we know that the sum of cubicle numbers of employees of IT department and HR department are consecutive multiples of 11. Since Neha from IT is in cubicle 17, the sum of cubicle numbers of employees of IT department must be a multiple of 11. The only way this is possible is if the other employee from IT is in cubicle 6 or 16. But cubicle 6 is occupied by Maya or Farhan. So, the other employee from IT must be in cubicle 16.

By following these steps, we can determine the seating arrangement of the employees.
