The changes can be physical, chemical, and biological (Environmental Pollution Centers, 2021).
Impacts: The impacts of soil pollution are vast and can lead to water and food contamination, disruption of biodiversity, and an overall threat to human health. It can also lead to the death of organisms in the soil, which can disrupt the balance in the ecosystem (United Nations Environment Programme, 2021).
Attainable Means and Ways for Reducing Its Presence in the Environment: There are several ways to reduce soil pollution, such as promoting organic farming, reducing the use of non-recyclable materials, proper waste disposal, and promoting recycling and reuse. Education and awareness about the harmful effects of soil pollution can also help in its reduction (United States Environmental Protection Agency, 2021).
