Solution

The measurable aspect of SMART goals is crucial because it provides a way to assess your progress towards achieving your goal. Here's another way to look at it:

  1. Asks qualifying questions: The measurable aspect of SMART goals involves asking specific questions that can help determine whether or not a goal has been achieved. These questions could be related to quantities, frequencies, percentages, etc.

  2. Considers the when, where, who, what, and why: The measurable aspect also takes into account various factors such as when the goal will be achieved, where it will be achieved, who will be involved in achieving it, what steps will be taken to achieve it, and why the goal is important.

  3. Not always realistic or attainable: While the measurable aspect of SMART goals is important, it's also important to note that not all goals may be realistic or attainable. This doesn't mean that the goal isn't measurable, but rather that the measurements used may need to be adjusted to reflect the reality of the situation.

  4. Establishes a way to check your progress: One of the main purposes of the measurable aspect of SMART goals is to provide a way to track progress. By setting specific measurements, you can regularly check in on your progress and adjust your actions if necessary.

  5. Focuses on only long-term goals that will be hard to accomplish: While it's true that the measurable aspect of SMART goals can be applied to long-term goals, it's not limited to them. The measurable aspect can be applied to any goal, regardless of how long it takes to achieve.

e: Discussion Assignment by Khup Mang - Saturday, 18 May 2024, 8:05 PM Dear all, A goal can be defined as a broad set of values or desired outcomes that one aspires to achieve. Unlike objectives, goals do not necessarily have a specific time frame attached to them. They serve as a guiding light, providing direction and purpose (James M. Mayo). A goal can be defined as a desired result that a person or a system envisions, plans, and commits to achieve. It is a broad, general aspiration not necessarily bound by a time frame (James M. Mayo). Goals and objectives are essential and vital for managing organizational processes. They provide clear direction and a roadmap for the company, serving as a foundation for strategic planning and decision-making. I would like to share a remarkable instance where employers truly embodied their organization's vision, focusing on providing education access to all children. During the academic year, a specific number of children are expected to fulfill their objectives. Out of these, 76 percent have successfully accomplished the task. It's truly inspiring to see the level of joy and passion exhibited by all employers. Their dedication and enthusiasm are contagious and instrumental in propelling us toward the organizational mission and vision.
