1.  I was born in Montana, but moved to Utah when I was 2 weeks old, as my dad was attending BYU in Provo, Utah.  I am the 2nd of 5 children.  I have 2 sisters and 2 brothers.  My oldest sister passed away in June after a 7 year battle with Triple Negative Breast Cancer, so I'm the oldest living sibling at this point. I lived in Boulder City, Nevada for 3 years, when my dad took his first teaching job there.  We moved to Springville, Utah in the summer of 1983 and I lived there until I got married in May of 1999. I have been happily married to my husband for over 24 years, and we have 3 adult daughters, ages 22, 20, and 18.  We lived in Provo for 6 years, then built a home in Santaquin and lived there for 14 years.  Then the Lord told us we needed to move, so we ended up moving to Spanish Fork in April of 2020, during the state and country shut down for COVID.  I have been a stay at home mom the majority of the time we were raising our girls.  I have worked over the years off and on as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Home Health Aide.  All of my girls have moved out and are attending college, so we are now empty nesters.  My daughters are attending Weber State in Ogden, Utah, Utah Tech University in St. George, Utah, and Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho.  I love supporting my girls in the activities, and I’ve spent many years at band and orchestra concerts, track and cross country meets, and many marching band competitions.  I love to crochet and always have a project I’m working on.  I love traveling and have been blessed to be able to travel to many places with my family.  I also love plays, musicals, and concerts.  We attend many musicals each year, as we have season tickets to the Broadway touring plays in Salt Lake City and Las Vegas.  I love music and enjoy playing music.  I play the piano and clarinet.  I play clarinet in a community orchestra and a community band.  2.  I don't know what my career goals are.  I am working on my degree in Public Health with the Epidemiology emphasis.  I may continue on and get my Masters and Doctorate degree in Epidemiology.  I'm working on my degree because I love learning.  And after watching my sister suffer and die from cancer, I decided that I needed a back up incases something happens to my husband and I need to find employment. 3.  I believe this course will help me in the future if I decide to enter the workforce.  It will give me the background to work in the healthcare industry.  I feel this course will help me to know more about the diseases, symptoms, treatments, and more that can happen to a person.4.  I would like to learn more about the different diseases, along with their symptoms and treatments.  I have always been interested in the healthcare field.  And I love learning about different diseases and how they effect people.

My father grew up in CamSur, my Lolo was a foreman in construction and my Lola peddled her bananaque around the neighborhood to make ends meet,needless to say they were poor, he wanted to be a policeman but only finished till first year college and started to work odd jobs. He met my mom who came from the middle class. My grandpa was a TLE teacher at De La Salle Zobel and a businessman, he used to supply needed materials for projects and PE uniforms for the kids there and my grandma was a school nurse. My mom always makes sure that we get all the toys at McDonalds or Jollibee when we are small, which made my father very angry saying that it's a waste of money.
