Currently, the study of motherhood has become increasingly interesting as well as complex with regard to female single parenthood. Single mothers by choice represent the emergence of a new form of chosen single parenthood, planning motherhood as a personal project, thus detaching filiation from conjugality. Mothers who intend to undertake motherhood alone present a series of common characteristics: they are women who have obeyed the social mandates of their generation. Therefore, we would say that adoption is not an option but a vocation since the aim is to form a family with the child or adolescent and thus provide security, love, education, etc. Women have the biological capacity to conceive, and choose to adopt a child; So it would seem that they have a motivation to transcend or give meaning to their lives. On the one hand, it would be an alternative to the impossibility of transcending through a biological child or a way of becoming a mother without being one. While it is true that single mothers would be a good option when it comes to adopting, here the challenges arise that these women will have to go through before they manage to have their adopted child in their arms. The pertinent authorities allege that it is to protect the integrity of these children who have been abandoned or were also picked up on the street. Therefore, the best solution to overcome these challenges is to have the company of a good, experienced legal advisor and the support of family.Edited by Adriana Chacon Freire on Nov 30 at 7:05am

Solution

The study of motherhood has become increasingly fascinating and intricate, particularly in relation to female single parenthood. The emergence of single mothers by choice represents a new form of intentional single parenthood, where motherhood is planned as a personal project, separate from being in a relationship. These mothers who choose to undertake motherhood alone share common characteristics: they are women who have followed the societal expectations of their generation. Therefore, adoption is not seen as an option but rather a calling, as their goal is to create a family with a child or adolescent and provide them with security, love, education, and more. Women have the biological ability to conceive, yet they choose to adopt a child, suggesting a desire to transcend or give purpose to their lives. On one hand, adoption can be an alternative for those unable to have a biological child, or a way to become a mother without being in a traditional sense. While single mothers may be a good option for adoption, they face challenges before they can hold their adopted child in their arms. Authorities argue that these challenges are in place to protect the well-being of children who have been abandoned or found on the streets. Therefore, the best solution to overcome these challenges is to have the guidance of a competent and experienced legal advisor, as well as the support of family.
