I was given a feedback to my proposal: The most interesting part of your proposal is the gap between the representation of women in the Hindu scripts/texts and the Hindu personal laws. The UCC seems to come in as a second issue and I can see how they link as given the way women are depicted in the current set of laws despite the texts/scriptures there is no reason to think a UCC would be any different.
