Solution

Cells are incredibly small and can only be seen under a microscope. To give you an idea of their size, consider a grain of sand. You can see a grain of sand with your naked eye, but it would take over 10,000 cells lined up next to each other to equal the size of that single grain. Another comparison is a human hair. If you look at a strand of hair, it's so thin it's almost invisible. Yet, it's still about 50 cells wide. So, in comparison to other small objects that we can see and interact with in our daily lives, cells are extraordinarily tiny.
