Solution

From the given information, we can deduce the following:

  1. O works in Chennai and is not a lecturer.
  2. M is a banker and works in Pune with Q, who is a software engineer.
  3. N works in Nashik and is not a lawyer.
  4. P is a doctor and does not work in Chennai.
  5. The only other person who works in Chennai is a lecturer.

From point 1 and 5, we know that O and the lecturer work in Chennai. Since O is not the lecturer, the lecturer must be the other person.

From point 2, we know that M and Q work in Pune. M is a banker and Q is a software engineer.

From point 3, we know that N works in Nashik and is not a lawyer.

From point 4, we know that P is a doctor and does not work in Chennai. So, P must work in Nashik with N.

Now, we know that L is left and the only city left is Pune. So, L must work in Pune.

The only professions left are lawyer and psychologist. Since N is not a lawyer, L must be the lawyer.

So, the correct answer is: L works in Pune.
