While creating Forced Perspective images, I learned that composition plays a crucial role. It's all about the arrangement of elements in a scene to create a specific interpretation or effect. The positioning of the subject and the camera, the use of light and shadow, and the inclusion of other elements in the frame can all contribute to the illusion of forced perspective.

Forced perspective is a technique that manipulates our perception of scale and depth. By making an object appear larger, smaller, closer, or further away than it actually is, you can create compelling and surprising images. This technique requires careful planning and a keen eye for detail.

A movie that I think used Forced Perspective as an in-camera special effect is "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy. In these films, forced perspective was used extensively to make certain characters appear larger or smaller than others, contributing to the fantastical and epic feel of the story. For example, the hobbits were made to look much smaller than the human characters by positioning them further away from the camera, while still making it appear as if they were in the same space. This was achieved through meticulous camera placement and set design.
