Explain the stages of Design thinking?

Design thinking is a problem-solving approach that involves various stages. Here are the five stages of Design Thinking:

1. Empathize: This is the first stage of the design thinking process. It involves understanding the needs of the end users. This is achieved by observing, engaging and empathizing with people to understand their experiences and motivations.

2. Define: In this stage, the information gathered from the empathize stage is put together to define the core problems that the team has identified up to this point. The aim is to come up with a human-centered problem statement.

3. Ideate: This stage involves generating a range of possible solutions to the problem statement defined in the previous stage. The team should be encouraged to think outside the box and come up with as many ideas as possible.

4. Prototype: This stage involves producing a number of inexpensive, scaled down versions of the product or specific features found within the product, so the team can investigate the problem solutions generated in the previous stage.

5. Test: This is the final stage in the design thinking process. The solutions or prototypes developed in the previous stage are rigorously tested at this stage, and feedback is used to redefine one or more problems and inform the understanding of the users, the conditions of use, how people think, behave, and feel.

Remember, these stages are not always sequential — they do not have to follow any specific order and they can often occur in parallel and be repeated iteratively. The goal of this process is to understand the users, challenge assumptions, redefine problems and create innovative solutions to prototype and test.
