Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries are common in young athletes. The ACL provides stability and minimizes stress across the knee and is proposed to play an integral role in the central somatosensory feedback loop by providing information regarding knee joint position and movement which is generally known as balance.     The double leg stance posture is frequently used to assess balance. Impaired postural control, measured by balance in single-limb stance, has been reported after an ACL injuries, as well as after ACL reconstruction.
