Solution

Dear Happy Prince and Swallow,

I am writing this letter with a heart full of gratitude. I am the poor student who you have generously helped. I was in a dire situation, struggling to finish my studies due to lack of resources. I was on the verge of giving up, but your kindness has given me hope.

Your golden leaf was more than just a piece of gold. It was a symbol of your compassion and empathy towards the less fortunate. It was a beacon of hope in my darkest hour. I was able to sell it and use the money to buy the books and materials I needed for my studies. I was also able to afford food and a warm place to stay during the cold winter nights.

Your act of kindness has not only helped me in my immediate situation but has also inspired me to strive harder in my studies. I am determined to finish my education and help others just like you have helped me. I want to make you proud and show you that your sacrifice was not in vain.

The Swallow, your loyal messenger, deserves my deepest gratitude as well. Despite the harsh weather and the long journey, it delivered your gift to me. Its dedication and loyalty are truly admirable.

Thank you, Happy Prince and Swallow, for your selfless act of kindness. You have not only saved me from my predicament but also taught me the value of compassion and generosity. I will forever be grateful for your help.

Yours sincerely, The Poor Student
