Solution

The Paradox of Hedonism, also known as the pleasure paradox, refers to the practical difficulties encountered in the pursuit of pleasure. Unfortunately for the hedonist, constant pleasure-seeking may not yield the most actual pleasure or happiness in the long run—or even in the short run, when consciously pursuing pleasure interferes with experiencing it. The idea is that pleasure cannot be acquired directly, it can only be derived from doing something you love. Therefore, if one seeks happiness itself, one is likely to miss it. Instead, by focusing on other activities and doing them to the best of our ability, we will indirectly bring about the pleasure we seek.
