Solution

Uganda's tourism sector is a significant contributor to the country's economy, with its rich biodiversity and cultural heritage attracting visitors from around the world. The country is home to a variety of wildlife, including half of the world's mountain gorilla population, found in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park (Uganda Wildlife Authority, 2020). Uganda also boasts the Big Five game animals, numerous bird species, and unique landscapes such as the Rwenzori Mountains and the Nile River. The tourism sector is also characterized by cultural tourism, with over 50 distinct tribes each with unique traditions, languages, and arts (Uganda Tourism Board, 2020). Despite challenges such as inadequate infrastructure and political instability, the sector has shown resilience and potential for growth. In 2019, tourism contributed 7.7% to Uganda's GDP and generated 667,600 jobs (World Travel & Tourism Council, 2020).
