As the ambassador of India, if I were to raise an issue at COP29, it would be the need for greater climate finance. Developing countries like India are disproportionately affected by climate change, yet they often lack the resources to implement effective mitigation and adaptation strategies. Therefore, I would advocate for wealthier nations to contribute more to the Green Climate Fund, which supports projects in developing countries. I would also call for more technology transfer to help India transition to a low-carbon economy.

In addition, I would highlight the importance of climate justice. This means acknowledging that those who have contributed least to climate change are often the most affected by it. Therefore, any climate action must take into account the needs and rights of marginalized and vulnerable communities.
