What structure of protein is made during protein synthesis?

During protein synthesis, the primary structure of a protein is made. This process involves the assembly of amino acids in a specific sequence. The sequence of amino acids in a protein is determined by the sequence of nucleotides in the DNA, which is transcribed into mRNA in the process of transcription. The mRNA then travels to the ribosome where it is translated into a chain of amino acids, or a polypeptide, in the process of translation. This polypeptide chain folds and twists into a specific shape to form the final protein. This folding and twisting forms the secondary, tertiary, and quaternary structures of the protein. However, the initial structure made during protein synthesis is the primary structure.
