False. Not all reactions exist in a state of equilibrium. Equilibrium is a specific state in which both the reactants and products are present in concentrations which have no further tendency to change with time. This usually happens in a closed system where the reactions occur in both directions. However, there are many reactions that do not reach equilibrium, especially if they are irreversible reactions where the reactants completely convert into products.
