Solution 1

The Babinski Reflex can be demonstrated by splaying out of the toes and bouncing back when the sole of the foot is stroked. This is a reflex that is present at birth and usually disappears by the time a child is 2 years old. When the sole of the foot is stroked, the normal response in adults and older children is for the big toe to bend downward. In babies and young children, the big toe bends upward and the other toes fan out. This is known as the Babinski response.

Solution 2

The Babinski Reflex can be demonstrated by splaying out of the toes and bouncing back when the sole of the foot is stroked. This is a reflex action seen in infants when the sole of the foot is firmly stroked. The big toe then moves upward or toward the top surface of the foot and the other toes fan out. This is a normal reflex up to about 2 years of age.
